Deborah Parry-trained geldings Tokyodome and Share Power rounded off their fast work for Trentham with a very satisfactory final gallop at Awapuni on Thursday morning.

The majority of fast work was held on the outside of the course proper after heavy rain on Wednesday.

Tokyodome (MAAT 1600m) and Share Power (r65 1000m) went together, gathering speed from the 1000m to finish with 800m in 50.7, the last 600 in 35.7.

Tokyodome is third-up from a spell at Trentham on Saturday and his last-start fifth at Wanganui had plenty of merit.

Eight-year-old Share Power resumes after a spell and will have the blinkers removed for the first time in two and a half years. He will also have a tongue tie added to the gear.

Both horses will be ridden by Awapuni apprentice Toni Davies, who will claim 2kg each time.

Last-start winner Cooper and three-year-old filly Hello My Dear were paired over 1000m in 1.5.7, with the final 800m taking 50.4, the last 600 in 36.1.

Though winless from four starts as a juvenile, Hello My Dear showed plenty of promise. Her recent build-up has included a win and a third at the trials.

Last-start Waipukurau winner Pepeha and stablemate Papa Surf matched strides over 1000m in 1.7.5, the last 600 in 36.5.

Wellington acceptor Knickerless (r65 mile) did nice work over 1000m in 1.6.1, the last 600 in 37 seconds even, and she ran a strong fourth fresh up at Wanganui.

Her race rival Lemaitre galloped late in the session and reeled off 1000m in 1.7.9, coming the final 800m in 52.5, the last 600 in 38.1.

Old Town Road (open sprint) and former New South Wales galloper Be Real (Iffraaj) went together over 1000m in 1.9.6, the last 600 in 38 seconds even. Be Real boasts four wins and eight placings back to fourth in Australia.

Damiano (MAAT 1300m) and Ardroe (r75 1200m) covered 1000m in 1.12.2, the last 600 in 38.2, and Furiosa (MAAT 1300m) went alone in 1.14.1 and 38.8. Kana (r75 1200m) clocked 1.15.1 and 38.3.

Manzor Blue (r75 2100m) gathered speed from the 1000m to finish with 800m in 52.8, the last 600 in 38.3, and she has recorded two seconds from as many starts since resuming.

Her race rival My Alibi, whose record shows two previous wins at Trentham, ran 800m in 54.8, the last 600 in 39 seconds even.

The Scunner (open sprint), fresh from his Thompson Hcp second, was kept to 55.6 and 39.8. Victortheinflictor and unraced three-year-old City Gold Dragon (by Tivaci) took 55.6 and 39.4.

Ten-year-old gelding Semper Magico was timed 1000m in 1.12.1, the last 600 in 40.1, while Our Sniper (3yo 1400m) and Platinum Tyche (r75 2100m) were kept to 1.14 and 41.9.

Too Sweet, who heads to Pukekohe for the Bonecrusher Stakes on Saturday, went with Our Giulia and Reservoir over 1000m in 1.15.1, the last 600 in 41.3. Our Giulia is in the r65 mile at Trentham. Poppy's Girl (r65 1000m) ended with 43.6.

On the synthetic track, Popinjay and Dapper Dan, both from the Breslin barn, ran 1000m in 1.11.3, the last 600 in 40.2.
