Bold Belle continued her spring preparation with another fine gallop at Awapuni on Tuesday morning.

Fast work was on the synthetic track or on the plough, and jump-outs at Levin were scheduled for later in the day.

Bold Belle used the synthetic track and had her trainer Bryce Newman aboard, gathering speed from the 1000m to complete 800m in 51.7, the last 600 in 35.6.

The six-year-old mare, who won a Foxton trial (850m) last week, is likely to resume in the open 1000m at Trentham over Labour weekend on Sunday fortnight. She won fresh up at Trentham (1200m) last spring.

Her stablemates Rue Cler and unraced four-year-old mare Blue Jeanie (by Satono Aladdin) went 800m together in 48.6, the last 600 in 36.1.

Blue Jeanie is a half-sister to Fablue (by Fabulous), who has won two of her last five races for Canterbury trainer Ashley Frye.

Lets All Boogie, another Foxton trial winner for Bryce Newman last week, worked alone over 1000m in 1.10.8, increasing the tempo as she went to run home the final 800m in 52.9, the last 600 in 38.2.

Unraced four-year-old mare Treat Yourself (by Savabeel) and unraced three-year-old filly Only The Lonely (by Tivaci), two more from that barn, went together, recording similar times with 1.11.4 and 53.1, the last 600 in 38.8. Both horses have very sound trial form.

Unraced four-year-old mare Testing (by Time Test), trained by Roydon Bergerson, ran 800m in 54.5, the last 600 in 39.8, and finished second at the trials last week.

Queen Of Spades, in at Waverley tomorrow (Wednesday), sprinted 600m in 40.6, and Uncle Arch was kept to 43.7.

On the plough, Lincoln's Kruz covered 800m in 52.7, the last 600 in 37.5, and last-start maiden winner Super Gold did a quiet round and a half before running home 800m in 53 seconds even, the last 600 in 39.4.

Smokin Mo, who heads to Taupo on Friday (r75 2600m), did a quiet round before galloping 1000m in 1.9.1, the last 600 in 39.2.

His race rival Crouch did similar work, but was given a much easier task, completing 1000m in 1.15.4, the last 600 in 41.7.

Colorado Star (open 1400m) and unraced four-year-old mare Saxon Lady (mdn 1300m), two more racing at Taupo, were kept to 1000m in 1.15.2, the last 600 in 41.4.

Opawa Scarlett (by Shooting To Win) and Ledago (by Almanzor), both trained by the Fannin-Schofer partnership, were timed 1000m in 1.10.6, the last 600 in 40.7.

Opawa Scarlett won a maiden race at Trentham in May and was unplaced when resuming at Wanganui three weeks ago.

Ledago finished second on debut at Otaki in June, but has not raced since. However, she did win a trial at Foxton last week in her build-up for spring racing.
