Danjuro and Can Do on the course proper and Let's All Boogie and Oceans on the synthetic track were impressive gallopers at Awapuni on Tuesday morning.

Fast work was held on the plough as well.

On the course proper, Feilding Cup nominee Danjuro and Can Do were paired over 1000m in 1.6.1, with the final 800m taking 50.7, the last 600 in 36 seconds even.

Their stablemates Omega Boy and Felucca lost no kudos with 1000m in 1.6.2 and 800m in 50.5, the last 600 in 37.1. Sevenayes and Papa Surf took 1.9.4 and 37.2.

Sam’s Turn and Foxton trial winner Loose Jewels were kept to 800m in 57.3, the last 600 in 41.1.

On the synthetic track, time honours went to Bryce Newman-trained pair Lets All Boogie and Oceans, who cut out 1000m in 1.3.6, the last 600 in a smart 35.3.

Their stablemates Altezza and Blue Jeanie were timed 800m in 48.3, the last 600 in 35.5, while War Princess and Shameless Star, working right-handed, ended 1000m with 35.8. War Princess goes to Tauranga on Saturday, and Shameless Star heads to Woodville on Sunday.

Sailor Jack, in the Feilding Cup, did a quiet round before galloping 1000m in 1.2.3, the last 600 in 36.2. This was solid work. Three-year-old filly Niemi and four-year-old gelding Offertory ended with 36.3.

Testing and In The Air matched strides over 1000m in 1.5.8 and came the final 800m in 50.5, the last 600 in 37.1. Popinjay, not seen since April, and Rushin Home ended with 600m in 37.9.

Wonderboy, who has won two of his last three, and Reign It In were locked together over 1000m in 1.5.3, with the final 800m taking 50.8, the last 600 in 38 seconds even.

French Doll had recent trial winner East End Lad alongside over 1000m in 1.7.2, the last 600 in 38.7, and Velton covered 800m in 51.3 and 38.4. Tears Of Victory and Our Akashinga went 800m together in 53.3 and 38.6.

Unraced three-year-old Kodiac Bear, who won a Foxton trial last week, and Kawakawa, both trained by the Gray partnership, left 800m behind in 54.1, the last 600 in 39.6, while Jacobite Rising and Vee Vee were kept to 58.1 and 42.1.

On the plough, Rogue Romance and Keeping Time did nice, even work over 1000m in 1.7.1, the last 600 in 38.1, and their stablemates Sacred Pearl (FeildingCup) and Platinum Goddess almost matched it with 1.7.6 and 38.9.

John Doe was sent 800m in 53.1, the last 600 in 38.1, and his stablemate Sloane Square ended with 38.3.

Love Janie and Old Town Road were paired over 1000m in 1.6.6, the last 600 in 39.7, and stablemate Make Time clocked 1.8.2 and 39.9.
