Altezza, Casino and Zackery take time honours
Altezza and Casino from the Bryce Newman barn and Zackery, trained by Matthew Eales, were three to work boldly at Awapuni on Tuesday morning.

The majority of fast work was on the plough, where Altezza and Casino were paired over 1000m in 1.9.2, gathering speed as they went to finish with 800m in 52.9, the last 600 in 37.4.

Bradman and Wingman matched strides over 1000m in 1.8.2, the last 600 in 38.8, while French Doll and Dapper Dan were timed 800m in 53.1, the last 600 in 38.7.

John Doe, who continues to work solidly, ran 800m in 53.6, the last 600 in 38.9, followed soon after by Platinum Tyche and Platinum Diamond in 54.2 and 38.8.

Knickerless covered 1000m in 1.8.2, the last 600 in 39.1, while unraced two-year-old fillies Dolly Pardon (by Derryn) and Sax Appeal (by Saxon Warrior) clocked 53.9 for 800m, the last 600 in 39.2. They are with Lisa Latta, and both have been placed at the Levin jump-outs.

Kosta ran a quiet 800m in 55.1, the last 600 in 40.3, and unraced four-year-old mare Sky Hawk (by Vadamos), trained by Lisa Latta, took 55.2 and 40.1.

Silent Applause and unraced three-year-old stablemate Barrister (by Reliable Man) were kept to 800m in 55.8, the last 600 in 40.6.

Too Sweet, unraced three-year-old filly Lalume (by Almanzor) and a Derryn filly sprinted 600m in 40.8, while Our Giulia and unraced three-year-old filly Tsarista (by Tarzino) ended with 41.7. They are all trained by Roydon Bergerson.

Pepeha, who is mixing his form, was timed 800m in 56.1, the last 600 in 41.1, while last-start winner Sevenayes and unraced three-year-old filly Amiria (by Per Incanto) posted 57.8 and 42.5. Amiria has solid trial form.

Hoorah Henry and Coney Island ended with 600m in 42 seconds even, as did their stablemates Our Sniper and Platinum Goddess. Tifosi and unraced three-year-old Buckfast Abbey (by Almanzor), who has been going well at the jump-outs and trials, clocked 42.1. They are with Bryce Newman.

Unraced four-year-old Pippasjewel (by Proisir), ended with 43.4; Only The Lonely 43.8; Afterthought 45.4; and Bold Belle 46.1.

On the synthetic track, Zackery caught the eye with his 1000m in 1.7.2, covering the final 800m in 50.6, the last 600 in 36.8. His stablemate Kawatiri ran 800m in 51.6, the last 600 in 37.6. Both horses were placed at the Levin jump-outs last week.
