Platinum Designs and Bold Belle set the clocks alight in separate gallops at Awapuni on Tuesday morning.
All fast work was on the synthetic track, where Platinum Designs had a light weight aboard over a speedy 1000m in 1.1.5, with the final 800m taking 46.8, the last 600 in 35.1.
The rising five-year-old has been a model of consistency throughout his career, with three wins and multiple placings.
His latest racing has been on the synthetic track, recording a win two starts ago, and he will go again at the Feilding meeting on Thursday (r90 1000m).
Bold Belle, trained by Bryce Newman, had Kavish Chowdhoory in the saddle over a smart 800m in 50 seconds even, the last 600 in 35.8. She has been freshened since placing fourth at Trentham in mid-May.
Her unraced stablemate Tifosi (by Super Seth) covered 800m in 53.8, the last 600 in 38.2, and will turn two on August 1. Unraced two-year-old Belle Coeur (by Vadamos), another from the Newman barn, ran 800m in 53.2 and 38.5.
Jestin Case, in on Thursday (r60 2140m), was timed 1000m in 1.8.7 and finished with 800m in 52.9, the last 600 in 39.3. She is worth respect as she steps up in distance.
Last-start synthetic winner Victortheinflictor (r69 1700m) and Sweet As Tavi went 1000m together in 1.9.7, coming the final 800m in 53.5, the last 600 in 39.2. Sweet As Tavi looks a big improver.
Sir Mikki (71 2140m) worked alone over 1000m in 1.10.6 and ran the final 800m in 53.9, the last 600 in 39.5. Keepitinyourwallet (r60 1700m) posted 1.12.1 and 54.2, the last 600 in 39.7.
Showbastian Coe (r90 1000m) and Crouch were paired over 800m in 52.5, the last 600 in 39.1, while their stablemates Papa Surf and Kereti went together in 53.5 and 39.3.
Last-start winner Final Chapter (r71 2140m) ended his work with 600m in 39.1, while Charlotte's Way (r67 1400m), and Taranaki entrant Testing, another last-start winner, went together in 39.2. Intention and Rushin Home posted 40.1.
Velton, a winner fresh up at Taupo last October, left 800m behind in 55.3, the last 600 in 40 seconds even. Trained by Bryce Newman, she has not raced since last Christmas.
Her stablemate Abbakiss did similar work, finishing with 800m in 55.6, the last 600 in 40.7. She ran second in the Wellesley Stakes at Trentham in January before a commendable sixth in the Karaka Millions 2YO.
Unraced three-year-old filly Timex (by Time Test) and stablemate Reign It In were kept to 1200m in 1.16.9, with the final 800m taking 57.9, the last 600 in 41.9. Timex debuts on Thursday (r59 1400m).
Her race rival Redana went alone over the same task in 1.18.2 and 57.5, the last 600 in 41.4. She was a shade unlucky in her first attempt on the synthetic track two weeks ago, finishing fifth in a blanket finish.
Kawatiri (r69 1700m) ended her 800m with 600 in 42.2, and dual acceptor Popsagoosey was kept to a quiet 1000m, the last 600 in 44.4. A Harry Angel gelding and a Supido gelding, both trained by Mike Breslin, sprinted 600m in 43.2.
