Fast work was held on the middle of the course proper, where Platinum Attack and He's A Doozy were paired over 1000m in 1.4.1, with the final 800m taking 50.1, the last 600 in 36.4.

Platinum Attack is among the early nominations for the $400,000 Group 1 weight-for-age Proisir Plate (1400m) at Ellerslie on Saturday week, and won a Foxton trial (1200m) last week.

He's A Doozy, on the other hand, will be focussing on the $550,000 Group 1 weight-for-age Livamol Classic (2040m) at Hastings on October 10. He finished fourth in the same trial heat as Platinum Attack.

Meanwhile, their stablemates Pinafore, third at Foxton (1000m), and Hoorah Henry matched strides over 1000m in 1.7.8, finishing with 800m in 51.8, the last 600 in 36.6. They are coming to hand well.

Perfect Test and Sir Mikki were on even terms throughout 1000m in 1.5.6 and completed the final 800m in 52.1, the last 600 in 37.6.

Perfect Test should go well fresh up at Wanganui on Saturday (r75 mile), with the blinkers going on plus a tongue tie. Sir Mikki will have the blinkers removed for his race on the synthetic track this Sunday (r74 2140m).

Justashotaway, in the maiden 1340m at Wanganui, went 1000m in 1.7.2, clocking 52.4 for the final 800m, the last 600 in 37.7.

Justashotaway was game in defeat at Wanganui two weeks ago, with apprentice Toni Davies aboard, but on Saturday the mount goes to Joe Doyle.

Wind Talker, the headline horse in Tuesday's trackwork, galloped in good fashion again, being timed 1000m in 1.8.1 and 52.7, the last 600 in 37.1.

She steps up in grade on Sunday (r74 2140m) from r65 last start, but her terrific synthetic track form should hold her in good stead.

Her stablemate Sloane Square (r60 2140m), who finished a distant fourth over hurdles at Hawera last start, ran 1000m in 1.8.9 and 53.3, the last 600 in 37.8. She is a lot fitter now.

High Rock and unraced three-year-old filly Aim To Miss were followed round by stablemate and Wanganui entrant Farravallo (open 1200m) over 800m, the last 600 in 37.3.

High Rock (by Tivaci) and Aim To Miss (Derryn) finished first and second in the same heat (850m) at last week's Foxton trials.

Last-start maiden hurdle winner Pinkerton gathered speed from the 1000m (1.11.9) to finish with 800m in 55.4, the last 600 in 38.8.

Subtle Image, an acceptor at both Wanganui on Saturday (open 2040m) and Rangitikei on Sunday (r74 2140m), was not chasing the clock over 1000m in 1.13.7, the last 600 in 39.7, and The Scunner ended with 39.4.

Amazing Son, in the open 1200m at Wanganui, and maiden three-year-old All On Red (by Reliable Man) were at a good clip early over 1000m (1.6.2), but eased over the last 600 to end with 40.5.

Unraced six-year-old Edison (by Staphanos) and unraced three-year-old colt Abonga (by Wrote), both trained by Mark Oulaghan, went 1000m in 1.11.3, the last 600 in 40.4, while Sunday runner Pistachio (r69 1400m) and a Sword Of State maiden ended with 40.1.

War Princess, a winner at the Foxton trials last week, was kept to 800m in 57.9, the last 600 in 40.2, while her stablemates Baronies and a Fierce Impact gelding took 59.6 and 40.3.

Unraced four-year-old The Loose Moose (by Ace High) and unraced three-year-old filly Temptastic (by Tassort), two more from the Didham barn, did 800m in 56.8, the last 600 in 41.5. The Loose Moose is a half-brother to former Wellington Cup winner Lincoln King.

Victortheinflictor, in on Sunday (r74 1700m), ended with 600 in 41.8, and Charmstruck took 41.1.

Cry Baby (r60 2140m) and Tokyodome (r74 1700m) ran 1000m in an easy 1.13.1, the last 600 in 42.9. Tokyodome finished second on the synthetic track last start, and could easily go one better on Sunday.
