Kana and War Princess completed satisfactory final trials at Awapuni on Thursday morning.
Fast work was held on the synthetic track or on the plough (good).
Kana and War Princess used the synthetic track in separate gallops, reeling off 800m in 53.4, the last 600 in 38.6, and 53.7 and 38.9 respectively.
That was all trainer Peter Didham asked of them going into Saturday's Manawatu Cup meeting at Trentham.
Kana was an unlucky fifth in the Stewards' Stakes at long odds, and there was merit in the run next time out at Otaki, where the winner recorded a smart time.
She tackles Saturday's r75 1200m and was a previous winner on the champagne turf, in October last year.
War Princess is on debut in the Group 2 Wakefield Stakes on Saturday, but has the credentials to perform above her weight, with a Levin jump-out win and a Woodville trial success under the belt.
All other gallops were on the plough, where Ima Brazen One gathered speed from the 1000m, which she covered in 1.13.9, to come her final 800m in 53.3, the last 600 in 38.3.
Unraced Shocking mare Basslock and a Sweynesse two-year-old, both trained by Mark Oulaghan, sprinted 600m in 39.6.
Manawatu Cup runner Cheval de Foudre was another to gather speed from the 1000m (1.13.2) and he finished with an easy 800m 57.1, the last 600 in 40.8.
Race rivals Crouch and Donnybrook did similar work together, completing the final 800m in 55.2, the last 600 in 40.6. Their stablemates Pepeha (r75 1200m) and Sevenayes posted 55.9 and 40.8.
Benefactor (r75 mile) did little more than three-quarter pace over 1000m in 1.16 even, the last 600 in 45.1. She found her best form again last start with a win at Woodville four weeks ago.
